About Me

About Me

I’m Sarah Butsch, a Swiss audio professional and creative based in London.
I work across music, film, and sound design, blending technical precision with creative instinct.

I’m academically trained and have practical, hands-on experience in studio recording, film sound, and audio post-production, from band and orchestral sessions to voiceover, advertising, and film work.

My recording experience ranges from working in large, industry-level studios during university, where I recorded vocalists, voice actors, piano, band, and string sessions (including small orchestral setups), to renowned independent studios in London, where I assisted recording engineers as a freelance studio assistant. I’m comfortable managing and assisting sessions from start to finish and have extensive experience with microphones, analog gear, and surround sound environments across both digital and hybrid studios.

I’ve led the full sound process on a range of independent short films, working as a sound designer, Foley artist, re-recording mixer, and location sound recordist, with credits including Fortune Favours the Fantabulous (dir. Emmanuel Li), Paloma (dir. Loïc Viatte), and Hikkikomori (dir. Nicolas Seguel). My work has been featured at film festivals in both the UK and Switzerland.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering from SAE Institute Geneva, I released my first single and produced my debut music video as an artist. I later completed a Master’s in Audio Production at the University of Westminster, where I engineered and managed recording sessions and deepened my expertise in signal flow, setup, and workflow management.

I’ve worked with recording engineers, independent artists, filmmakers, and companies including WaviewUnited AgentsMercor, and Avid. I’m confident working on SSL, Neve, Audient, and Yamaha consoles, with strong technical control across both digital and analog systems.

I’m bilingual in English and French, with advanced German, and I bring calm focus and reliability to every project. Whether I’m managing a recording session, editing dialogue, or producing a track, my goal is always the same : to create sound that feels authentic, emotional, and alive.

I approach every project with professionalism and respect for confidentiality, maintaining the trust and privacy each collaboration deserves.
